Homebrew: Tumwater Tripel (belgian style)

Tumwater Tripel IngredientsThe latest installation of home brew.  The Tumwater Tripel is from Rocky Top Brewing Supply and seems like it is going to rock!  This is the 4th type of Rocky Top Brew that we have tried and we have yet to be dissapointed.  The picture below shows us transfering the tripel from the primary fermentor (6 gallon plastic bucket) into the seconday fermentor (glass carboy).  This beer is really goinbeer transferg to stand up to the "Tripel" name, it has ten pounds of malt extract and a pound of Belgian Candy Sugar. We expect an alchohol content higher than ten percent.

To the upper right are all the dry ingredients, the only things missing are the liquid malt extract and water.  This brewBeer transfer with wort chiller is the most advanced that we have undertaken, it also has the most potential to be the greatest brew we have ever made!

To the right you can see us using the wort chiller to aid in the cooling of our wort before  "spiking" with yeast.  This is our second time using one and we will never stop, it cuts cooling time from four hours down to thirty minutes!  This beer took longer to boil than most because of the added sugar.

Finally you can see our final product put away in a cupboard that magically stays two beers in a closetbetween 65 and 75 degrees.  The two beers you see here are  a Brown ale (left) and the Tumwater Tripel (right).  The Brown has only one more week until we transfer it to a 5 gallon cornielius keg for carbination.  The Tripel has over two weeks until it is ready for kegging.
